On Feb 2, Ding Lianxing, chairman of the Administration Commission of the
Monetary Authority of Macao, Zhang Hongyi, general manager of the Macau
Branch of the People's Bank of China (PBC), and He Lin, general manager
of the China Banknote Printing and Minting Company, showed the three
currency denominations of the new Macao banknotes. The PBC will issue new
Macau banknotes with face values of ten yuan, one hundred yuan and five
hundred yuan in Macao on February 3rd.
